About Dr. Rios
Providing dental care to people from all walks of life is a fulfillment of my calling established as a young child. I have wanted to be a dentist since the age of seven, when I was inspired by how much I enjoyed my visits to the dentist purely based on the positive environment created by the team. For this reason, I have focused my practice on recreating this experience for each of my patients. My goal is for my patients to have a great total experience and leave with a lasting smile.
It is personally and professionally fulfilling when I am able to make a positive difference in someone’s life by transforming his or her smile. I enjoy being a part of a team that is genuinely committed to this effort. I enjoy seeing my team share in that satisfaction when our patients share their joy with us. Through this connection, we are able to overcome treatment obstacles together, which leads to healthier, happier outcomes.
Education and Continuing Education
It is truly an honor that so many people have placed their trust in me — an honor I don’t take lightly. To retain this level of trust, it is essential for me to stay at the top of my game with regard to advances in treatments and technology. By making a commitment to greater education, I am able to keep alive my passion for excellence.
In addition to being involved in various study clubs, including the Spear Study Club and the Woehler Research Group (the oldest study club in the U.S.), I have attended more than 16 Hinman Dental Meetings and have earned certifications from Invisalign® and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. I have attended extensive coursework in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, orthodontics, TMJ, facial pain, and complete dentistry from some of the best instructors in the field.

I grew up in Piscataway, New Jersey, where I lived until the age of ten when my family moved south to Jacksonville. That was more than three decades ago and we have been here ever since.
My family is my reason for living. I have been married nearly a decade and have two energetic boys Anthony and Henry, as well as an adorable Cockapoo named Lucy. We are grateful to have both sets of parents living a block away from each other in Mandarin, which allows for great babysitting options.
When I am not working, I go out on the town with my family, whether to dinner, at the beach, or at the pool. I love being outdoors and doing fun activities with my family. I have been a lifelong runner and have participated in almost 15 River Runs. I am passionate about traveling and feel a year is not complete unless I have visited a new country or explored a new culture. I even survived running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, a year after opening this practice. After doing all that, Epcot just doesn’t cut it for me!

Dr Rios and his staff are very professional and friendly. My family has been going to Cypress Point Family dentistry for years now and we always recommend them to friends. Everyone here is always pleasant and efficient in getting me in and out for my appointments. Dawn cleans my teeth with care and is very thorough with my cleanings. Dr. Rios is always quick to get in and look at my teeth after my cleaning is finished so that I can get on with my day without too much downtime. I never feel pressured by their recommendations and never feel like they're trying to sell me products or services I don't really need. Great place with great people, definitely recommend!
I had a super friendly experience attending a cleaning visit here. The Dr. and his assistant used a sound combination of technology and expertise to thoroughly go through my mouth. The pictures were scary, but the advice was priceless. I wish I had visited this office earlier.
