Invisalign is an alternative to wire and bracket orthodontic treatment. It consists of wearing multiple sets of clear tray aligners to gently move teeth by applying light pressure with trays. Invisalign is effective in treating a wide range of malocclusion cases. It may be used to correct spacing, crowding, under bites, overbites, cross bites, and midline corrections. Invisalign is often the treatment of choice to treat relapse cases. Some relapse cases involve as little as 5-6 trays and only 3 months of treatment. Dr. Rios has been a certified provider for over 5 years and has a 100% satisfaction rating.
The Advantages of Invisalign
Because Invisalign aligners are clear, nobody can tell you are wearing them. You no longer need to dread having your photo taken because you have a smile full of metal wires and ugly brackets. If you have a special dinner date the tray can be removed for 2 hours a day with no negative consequences. Being removable allows for optimum hygiene and eliminating food traps while eating. Dr. Rios' average Invisalign case takes about 12-14 months. The range is quite wide depending on the complexity of the case. A simple case may be as short as 12 weeks, while a more complex case may take over two years. Your length of treatment will depend on the amount of tooth movement you require and your compliance with wearing your aligners. During your treatment, you will need to wear your Invisalign trays 22 out of 24 hours per day. You will also need to visit our Baymeadows dental office for adjustment appointments every six weeks. After treatment is complete, the proper use of retainers is critical to maintain your results. We recommend Invisalign Vivera retainers as it allows you to always have a fresh retainer ready to go.
